Drewry: The World Container Index decreased 3% this week 30-2025 | Freight news

In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates this week again continued their decreasing tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index decreased by 3% to $2,517 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam decreased 1% or $48 to $3,286, and Rotterdam to Shanghai remains stable at $495 per 40-foot container.

Also, the rates from New York to Rotterdam remain stable at $875 per FEU, but opposite way Rotterdam to New York increased 2% or $32 to $2,033 per FEU.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa decreased by 2% or $74 to $3,376, while Shanghai to Los Angeles decreased by 5% or $142 to $2,675. As it is reported, those on Shanghai to New York are down 7% or $329 to $4,210 per 40-foot container.

Finally, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai decreased by 1% or $5 to $715 per FEU.
