LIFELINE HELLAS – THE JOY OF GIVING
The International Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Hellas, of which Princess Katherine of Serbia is the founder and patron, has been helping Greece for 20 years where there are important needs. The most important activities of the organization are the donation of critical medical equipment to the state children’s hospitals and the support of children’s institutions in Greece.
In particular, Lifeline Hellas has offered medical equipment worthover three million dollars the last five years in the most important Greek State hospitals.
In 2022, Lifeline completed the donation of the extension at the neonatal department of “Elena Venizelou General State hospital” creating six new nursing positions and, also, donated seven incubators and eight monitors. Additionally, in 2023 Lifeline Hellas donated ten incubators and two neonatal respirators at the Intensive Care Unit of “Attikon University General Hospital”. In 2024, Lifeline Hellas delivered an hemodialysis machine at the General Hospital of Chios “Skylitseio” and a special machine for the protection of the newborn’s brain to the “Attikon University General Hospital”. Also, donated five incubators and a monitor to the children hospital “P. & A. Kyriakou” and the next two months will deliver three more incubators to the children hospital “Agia Sofia”.
The work of the state maternity hospitals is very important, especially in a country, as in Greece, where the fertility is one of its biggest problems. A new incubator offers to a newborn more chances to survive and to be healthy. This is a serious motivation for Lifeline Hellas to always support the neonatal intensive care units of the children’s hospitals which needs new incubators urgently.
Children is the future and it is our highest duty to support them.
