Drewry: The World Container Index decreased 3% this week 32-2025 | Freight news

In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates this week continued their decreasing tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index decreased by 3% to $2,424 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam remain unchanged at $3,276, and Rotterdam to Shanghai decreased by 1% or $7 to $489 per 40-foot container.

Also, the rates from New York to Rotterdam decreased by 3% or $23 to $853 per FEU, but opposite way Rotterdam to New York remain unchanged at $1,996 per FEU.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa decreased by 4% or $135 to $3,227, while Shanghai to Los Angeles decreased by 4% or $98 to $2,534. As it is reported, those on Shanghai to New York also slid 7% or $309 to $3,826 per 40-foot container.

Finally, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai remain unchanged at $711 per FEU.
