Yangzijiang Shipbuilding bags new deals worth $920m

The majority of the contracts are for containerships.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd has secured additional shipbuilding contracts for 22 vessels worth around $920m.

In a bourse filing, the company said the contracts include 18 units of containerships, and 2 units each of gas carriers and bulk carriers.

These are scheduled for deliveries between 2027 and 2029. These do not have any significant impact on the earnings of the group for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.

Overall, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding had secured a total of 36 effective shipbuilding contracts year to date with an aggregate value of $1.46b.
