Norwegian offshore energy services firm Aibel has signed a framework agreement for maintenance and modifications on the Goliat and Gjøa fields with Vår Energi.
The framework agreement is effective from September 1, 2025, and has a duration of five years, with options for three additional two-year periods. It is estimated that the contract corresponds to around 200 full-time equivalents.
Aibel’s Hammerfest office will provide resources for the work on Goliat, while the Gjøa part will mainly be handled from the Stavanger office.
“[This contract] ensures local deliveries that generate activity, ripple effects, and employment in Hammerfest, making it an important element in our commitment in northern Norway,” said Marianne S. Davenport, EVP for maintenance and modifications at Aibel.
