

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on September 29 that it has recently signed a contract to build three containerships with a shipping company based in Oceania.
– The total order amount is 222.4 billion KRW.
– The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Mipo and is scheduled to be delivered consecutively by the second half of 2027.
– Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 93 ships worth 12.37 billion USD to date, achieving 68.5% of the annual order target of 18.05 billion USD (provisional).
– By ship type, the company has received orders for 5 LNG carrier, 6 LNG bunkering vessels, 8 LPG/ammonia carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 59 container ships, 12 tankers, and 1 product tanker.
