Baltic Exchange Chairman Guy Hindley received a warm welcome during a recent visit to Guangzhou, where COSCO, China’s leading shipowner, reiterated its strong support for the Baltic and its market indices.

During the meeting, Guy met with Mr Chen Xinchuan, Managing Director of COSCO, to discuss the enduring partnership between the the Baltic and COSCO. In recognition of their ongoing relationship, a copy of Tony Hopkins’ Memoir was presented to Mr Chen. The Baltic has supported the publication of the memoir, with all sale proceeds donated to the Shipwrights’ Company to help underprivileged children experience life at sea aboard tall ships.

The visit highlighted the continued importance of collaboration between the Baltic and COSCO.
