Drewry: The World Container Index remains stable this week 47-2025 | Freight news

In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates this week remained fully stable. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index remains unchanged at $1,852 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam increased by 8% or $165 to $2,193, and Rotterdam to Shanghai remained stable at $460 per 40-foot container.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa increased by 6% or $126 to $2,319, while Shanghai to Los Angeles decreased by 7% or $156 to $2,172. As it is also reported, those on Shanghai to New York decreased by 10% or $332 to $2,922 per 40-foot container.

Finally, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai remained stable at $718 and Rotterdam to New York increased by 1% or $22 to $1,655 per FEU. Furthermore, the freight from New York to Rotterdam this week increased by 2% or $19 to $903 per 40-foot container.
