Danish shipping giant Norden has signed a logistics contract in Guinea with Africa Oil Supply (AOS), commencing in early 2026.
The contract sees Norden transporting bauxite on panamax vessels from the Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinee (CBG) jetty out to a transhipment site, from where the cargo will be deployed onto capesize vessels via floating cranes, before being transported to China.
Norden CEO Jan Rindbo said he sees “significant potential” across the African continent.
Norden’s presence across the continent includes offices in Abidjan and Libreville and a recent expansion to Durban, via the acquisition of the South African cargo activities of Taylor Maritime.
