Fuel Oil Markets in steady discounts, VLSFO deepens

Asia’s spot differential for 380-cst high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) rose slightly on Friday, while that for very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) and 180-cst HSFO slid.

Singapore 380-cst HSFO differential was pegged at a discount of $1.60 a metric ton. With lowered bids and offers prices, VLSFO deepened its discount to $1.50 a metric ton and 180-cst HSFO discounts widened to $1.50 a metric ton.

Cracks for VLSFO held steady at premiums of above $4 a barrel, while 380-cst HSFO cracks were at discounts of more than $7 a barrel, LSEG data showed.
