Kazakh maritime transport giant posts 15 pct growth in Caspian container shipments

Kazakhstan’s maritime transport giant Kazmortransflot saw its container shipments across the Caspian Sea up by more than 15 percent in 2025, the press service of the national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) reported Wednesday.

In 2025, KMG’s subsidiary Kazmortransflot transported 59,400 twenty-foot equivalent units along the Aktau-Baku-Aktau feeder route, up 15 percent from 2024. The company attributed the positive trend to growing demand for transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
