Fjordtank Rederi buys tanker Lexus from Sirius Rederi | Shipsale news

Sweden’s family-owned shipowner Fjordtank Rederi AB (Fjordtank) has completed the acquisition of the tanker vessel Lexus from Sirius Rederi also based in Sweden, according to a company’s announcement in the social media.

The tanker vessel – 4513 DWAT, built in 2005 at Ceksan Shipyard in Turkey – will be taken over by Fjordtank in September and will continue to sail under the Swedish flag, as Fjordtank Rederi AB informs.

The vessel, upon delivery to Fjordtank, will commence operations under a long-term charter with Bunker One Sweden.

The vessel Lexus (Fjord “TBN”) will operate alongside Tresfjord, which is already on charter to Bunker One for delivering bunker services in the Baltic region.

Fjordtank Rederi claims with a short post on LinkedIn that the ship fits perfectly into its operational profile and supports the company’s long-term strategic goals.
