International consulting and engineering firm Haskoning has announced the acquisition of Portwise, a Netherlands-based specialist in port and terminal planning and simulation.

Portwise is recognised for its simulation-driven consultancy, helping clients optimise port operations through automation, electrification and data analytics.

The companies said their complementary global reach ensures localised delivery of international expertise.

“Our clients increasingly require deeper insights and predictive capabilities to future-proof their assets,” said Marije Hulshof, CEO of Haskoning. “By joining forces with Portwise and welcoming their talented team, we strengthen our collective ability to help ports worldwide become smarter, more efficient and more sustainable.”

No financial details were disclosed regarding the transaction.
