GTT secured in the first quarter of 2026 an order from Samsung Heavy Industries for the tank design of one new LNG vessel on behalf of a European ship-owner.

As a result, the French firm will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessel, which will provide a total capacity of 180,000 cubic meters (cbm).

The tanks will be fitted with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system, with the delivery of the vessel expected in 2028.

The latest order follows the deal the French player won with South Korea’s Hanwha Ocean shipyard for seven LNG carriers.
