HD Korea Shipbuilding wins 340.2b-won order for two LPG carriers

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the mid-tier shipbuilding holding company of HD Hyundai, said on the 10th that it signed a construction contract with a European shipowner for two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers.

The total order amount is 340.2 billion won, and the vessels will be built at HD Hyundai Samho and delivered by the second half of 2028.

Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has won a total of 33 ships worth $4.79 billion to date, achieving 20.5% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion.

By ship type, the company secured orders for 10 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 10 container ships, five liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia carriers, six crude oil carriers, and two petroleum product carriers (PC ships).
