Baltic Dry Index Rises for 4th Session

The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk freight index increased 0.5% to 2038 on Monday, following a 2.8% rise in the previous session.

The capesize index, which typically transport 150,000-ton cargoes including iron ore and coal, advanced 1.6% to 2927.

On the other hand, the panamax index, which usually carry 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, decreased 0.1% to 1836; and the supramax index fell 1.2% to 1268.
