Siemens Gamesa inks 10-year O&M contract with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier | Freight news

Norway-headquartered and Oslo listed Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS (FOWIC), a subsidiary of Bonheur ASA, has entered into a long term agreement with Spanish headquartered wind turbine producer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (Siemens Gamesa) for the provision of offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M) services.

The offshore operations under the new agreement are expected to commence during the first quarter of 2028 with a firm duration of 10 years and with additional optional periods, as Fred. Olsen Windcarrier informs in a stock exchange release.

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier will be utilizing either the special purpose-built jack-up installation vessels Bold Tern or Brave Tern for Siemens Gamesa turbines up to, and including, 15 MW size turbines.
