IC Shipbrokers herewith welcomes you to today’s freight market report. We are giving you an insight in today’s freight market and an update with the latest freight market indications.

The market was today continuing the positive direction of the drybulk market. The capes, panamax and supramax all had improving activity, and the handysize continued with the unchanged activity.

The capesizes had today marginal improving activity and therefore the result was with very minor increasing rates in almost all areas and directions. For the panamax size the activity was again little better and the market reacted with minor increasing rates in almost all areas and directions.

For the supramax and handysize dry cargo tonnage the market had again mixed activity levels. The supramax tonnage had little better activity with slight increasing rate levels in most areas and directions. For the handysize vessels the market was once more with unchanged activity, and resulted in stable rates in all areas and directions.

The European coaster market was today with unchanged activity level. In the Baltic Sea area or on the Continent the freight rates were with stable rates. The freight rates in the Black Sea area were with unchanged rates and the Mediterranean had minor falling rate levels today.

The tanker market was today with unchanged or wait and see level of activity. The crude oil tankers were with little slowing activity resulting in minor falling rates in most areas and directions. The product tanker market was today also with unchanged activity and it resulted in stable rate levels from the various loading areas.
