

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, also announced on April 17 that it has signed a contract with a Middle East-based shipping company to build four VLGCs.
-The total order amount is 674.7 billion KRW.
-The four vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and are scheduled to be delivered by the second half of 2029.
-Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 76 ships worth 8.21 billion USD so far this year, achieving 35.2% of its annual order target of 23.31 billion USD (provisional).
-By ship type, the company has received orders for 12 LNG carriers, 20 containerships, 15 LPG/ammonia carriers, 7 crude oil carriers, 20 product carriers, and 2 PCTCs.
