Innovex International, a Houston-based company established in 2024 by the merger of Dril-Quip and Innovex Downhole Solutions, has acquired Louisiana-headquartered Drilling Innovative Solutions (DIS), a manufacturer and distributor of downhole tool products for oil & gas exploration.

Innovex said that by integrating DIS’s product offering and expertise into its broader platform it expects to enhance its portfolio of “big-impact, small ticket” products, enabling additional value to its global customer base.

Founded in 2013, DIS offers the Sentinel and Defender float valves, as well as the Gatekeeper Cement Retaining Collar which is an alternative to conventional packer and bridge plug cement retainers, the company reported.

“Our complementary product portfolios along with our global reach offer an exceptional opportunity for us to expand DIS’s unique and interesting products into other geographies,” said Adam Anderson, CEO of Innovex. “Their success with major operators in the Gulf allows us to blend our portfolios and strengthen our competitive position there.”
