Clearance time at new Huanggang Port to drop to around 5 minutes

The new Huanggang Port will adopt a “one-stop, two-check” clearance model, replacing the traditional two-queue system, with clearance time reduced from about 30 minutes to around five minutes.

On Monday, the new port’s inspection building was officially powered up with the activation of its final transformer, marking another step closer to operation.

With a total installed power capacity of 59,874 kVA, the inspection building represents the largest power supply project among all ports in Shenzhen.

It is equipped with 32 main transformers and multiple high-voltage units, with a total capacity nearly six times that of Futian Port.
Located in Futian District, Shenzhen, the new Huanggang Port is the world’s largest land border crossing and the only 24-hour passenger inspection port between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

It is expected to handle a daily passenger flow of 200,000, with a peak capacity of 300,000.
