TankerTrackers: Iran Exported Another 4 Million Barrels of Oil

While maritime tensions and U.S. monitoring pressure on Iran’s energy routes continue, the latest assessment by oil-tanker tracking firm TankerTrackers indicates that Iranian oil exports remain active, with new shipments successfully moving past imposed restrictions.

According to the report, recent activity at Iran’s oil terminals suggests that crude loading and shipments have not only continued, but may also be experiencing a new surge in exports. Satellite data cited by the firm confirms that around 4.6 million barrels of crude oil were loaded at Iran’s main export terminals.
At the same time, TankerTrackers said another 4 million barrels managed to leave the region through covert routes under surveillance. The firm described the process as an “Exfiltration” operation.

The assessment comes as the United States has, in recent months, sought to tighten oversight of tankers and expand its naval presence in an effort to curb Iran’s energy exports. However, the new data suggests Iran’s export network continues to adapt to pressure and find alternative channels.

Energy market observers say the continuation of this trend could influence global oil supply dynamics and raise new questions about the effectiveness of Washington’s maximum-pressure strategy—particularly if Tehran can sustain exports at these levels.
