Dr Arun Kasi, a specialist maritime law barrister with offices in London and Malaysia, has launched suite of 11 free-to-usemaritime liability limitation calculators, giving P&I clubs, the shipping industry, and legal practitioners instant calculations for tonnage and oil pollution limits. The tool is designed to serve the global shipping industry, featuring specific calculators under UK and Malaysian laws, alongside international convention-based versions.

Each calculator is supplemented with detailed legal and case notes, providing users with a comprehensive resource for assessing potential liability in maritime disputes.

“Maritime professionals frequently face the critical and complex task of calculating liability limits,” said Kasi. “My goal was to create a free, accessible, and reliable tool that not only provides the numbers but also the legal context behind them.”
