Black Sea CPC Blend oil exports seen stable at 1.66 mln bpd in August

Black Sea’s CPC Blend oil exports from a terminal in Russia were set at 1.66 million barrels per day (bpd), or some 6.5 million metric tons, almost unchanged from the July export plan, two sources said on Wednesday.

CPC Blend oil exports, mainly sourced from Kazakhstan’s oil fields, will remain ample in August amid absence of plans for a major turnaround this year at Tengiz oil field, country’s largest.

Tengizchevroil, the oil field’s operator, led by Chevron, conducted a regular maintenance in August over the last several years. The company said it will not be the case this year.

Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline connects Kazakhstan’s oil fields with export markets through a Russian Black Sea port of Yuzhnaya Ozereyevka near Novorossiysk.

The pipeline ships mainly Kazakh oil and a small portion of Russian oil.

CPC does not comment on its monthly loading plans.
