Veer Voyage, the trailblazing clean shipping venture founded by Danielle Southcott, has announced its gold sponsorship and keynote slot at “ShipZero30 – HyWindships” during London International Shipping Week. Hosted by ZESTAs (Zero Emission Ship Technology Association), this unique annual workshop series – launched at COP26 in Glasgow – brings together the boldest voices and technologies, committed to absolute zero emission shipping now, not decades from now.
“ZESTAs’ ShipZero is the only place where we stop settling for incremental changes and focus on creating a completely new system that does no harm to oceans and planet.,” says Southcott. “Too many industry spaces are still stuck defending the status quo; here, we’re stripping that away and showing what’s doable, what’s proven, and what’s already sailing at absolute zero.”
From global green hydrogen producers to shipowners designing next-generation zero emissions vessels, the line-up is a blueprint for how a healthy supply chain can be established and oceans can finally be protected for this generation and the next. Veer Voyage will share details of its flagship HyWindship (Wind and Hydrogen Powered) vessels and its bold vision for offering door-to-door absolute zero emission shipping services, a major milestone for a generation of new businesses building their products in harmony with the planet.
“Our oceans can’t afford for us to waste another decade,” says Southcott. “Young entrepreneurs everywhere are demanding supply chains that don’t destroy their future. Veer Voyage, and the other leaders at ShipZero30, will show how absolute zero shipping works today, powered by Hydrogen and Wind, proving that clean shipping can be truly clean.”
Southcott sees the event as a pivotal moment for young innovators and entrepreneurs in maritime. “We’re proving that new voices can not only be heard, but lead,” she says.
ShipZero30 aims to inspire the next generation of innovators and “ocean allies” in shipping, echoing the call of youth climate leaders worldwide.
Madadh MacLaine, Secretary General of ZESTAs, adds: “This is more than a seminar, it’s a safe harbour for a generation ready to act, It’s where industry leaders can stand shoulder to shoulder with young visionaries to prove that absolute zero isn’t a dream for tomorrow, but a reality we can deliver today. We’re here to make sure those voices are heard, and their bold, credible ideas help steer shipping towards a truly healthy planet.”
ShipZero30 takes place during London International Shipping Week 2025 on 16 September.
