Gibraltar September Bunker Calls Up 11.4% on the Year

A total of 431 bunker calls were recorded in Gibraltar in September, up 11.4% from 387 calls recorded in September 2024.

September bunker calls were still lower compared to the 449 recorded in the previous month of August, according to data from the Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA).

1,327 bunker calls were recorded in Q3 2025, up by 2.6% from 1,294 recorded for the same period last year.

Cruise calls rose to 20 in September, up from 15 in August.

Gibraltar’s average VLSFO price in September was $499/mt, down from $515/mt in August.

Ship & Bunker’s G20-VLSFO Index of average prices across 20 leading bunkering ports was $523/mt in September, down from $534/mt in August.

The port authority does not disclose bunker sales data.
