Drewry: The World Container Index increased 1% in week 52-2025 | Freight news

In accordance with the assessment of Drewry Supply Chain Advisors, the container rates last week again continued the increasing tendency. As it is mentioned, their composite World Container Index increased by 1% to $2,213 per 40-foot container.

Freight rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam increased by 2% or $45 to $2,584, and Rotterdam to Shanghai increased by 2% or $11 to $487 per 40-foot container.

The rates from Shanghai to Genoa increased by 3% or $113 to $3,427, while Shanghai to Los Angeles remained stable at $2,481. As it is also reported, those on Shanghai to New York remained stable at $3,302 per 40-foot container.

Meanwhile, the rates from Los Angeles to Shanghai remained stable at $712 and Rotterdam to New York increased by 1% or $10 to $1,652 per FEU. Furthermore, the freight from New York to Rotterdam last week remained stable at $962 per 40-foot container.
