The speaker lineup for the inaugural Splash Singapore, scheduled for September 24, is making good on earlier promises to make the event Asia’s leading shipping conference.

Among recent speaker signups are Martin Fruergaard, the CEO of Pacific Basin Shipping, Jeremy Sutton, the CEO of Swire Shipping, Marina Hadjipateras, co-founder and general partner at TMV, and Willem Vermaat, shipping director at Heidelberg Materials Trading. This quartet joins an existing strong set of panellists which include the heads of shipping majors such as Norden, Hafnia, AET, Seanergy, and Western Bulk alongside top charterers such as South32 and Vale.

Splash Singapore is a new event building on eight editions of the Maritime CEO Forum Singapore, organised by the team behind shipping news site Splash and annual dry bulk summit Geneva Dry.

The event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, the day before the city-state’s famous annual dinner held by the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA).

With the support of Singapore Maritime Foundation, panels will be packed full of shipowners, shipmanagers and charterers.

Sessions include the opening Big Issues hour, as well as specials on tankers, dry bulk, and the future of fixing. Much interest surrounds the event’s AI, Digitalisation, And The Maritime Workforce session. There’s also the brand new SpashTech Digital Leaders Forum with organisers set to unveil a lineup of speakers for this session featuring some of the biggest names in maritime tech.

“When we launched this event with the crucial help of the Singapore Maritime Foundation, the goal was simple, but a big ask – to make Splash Singapore Asia’s leading shipping conference.
