MPC Capital sells 2024-acquired container vessel Rio Kobe | Shipsale news

The Hamburg-based investment and asset manager MPC Capital has announced the sale of the 3,500-teu container vessel Rio Kobe.

The company stated in its social media account on LinkedIn that the container vessel was acquired in 2024 together with selected investment partners.

MPC Capital informs that this well-timed acquisition and exit, combined with strong commercial management, enabled the conclusion of a charter with a leading liner company alongside a jointly executed retrofit program.

“This delivered sustainable fuel savings and improved operational efficiency over the long term,” reads the company’s statement.
