Tanker pool manager Signal Maritime Services is moving into the dry bulk market through a strategic investment in Bluepool, a fast-growing operator running panamax and supramax pools.

Unveiled in early 2022, Bluepool currently manages 21 vessels and has been expanding its presence in both the panamax and newly launched supramax segments. Signal, which has built a strong track record in tanker pooling since 2018, said the move is more than a financial step—it’s an alignment of operating philosophies.

The companies said the collaboration will tighten their commercial reach across both tanker and dry bulk markets. Combining operational knowledge, analytics and digital tools is expected to support stronger performance for pool members and broaden market access for shipowners and investors. The strengthened platform will also deepen their networking reach and offer more flexible commercial structures.
