CMB.TECH sells VLCC and capesize as continues fleet renewal push | Shipsale news

The Antwerp-headquartered CMB.TECH has continued during the third and fourth quarter its fleet rejuvenation strategy with the sale of two older vessels and the delivery of five newbuild vessels. 

The shipowner confirmed the sale of the 306,543-dwt VLCC Dalma (built in 2007). The sale will generate a capital gain of $26.7m. The vessel will be delivered to its new owner during the fourth quarter of 2025. 

CMB.TECH’s Bocimar has also sold the 2009-built, 169.390-dwt, capesize Battersea. The deal is expected to generate a total capital gain of $2.4m, with delivery to the new owner scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, the 2010-built Hakata (302,550-dwt) and the 302,624-dwt Hakone also built in 2010, were delivered to their new owners in the third quarter of 2025, generating a total capital gain of around $39.3m in the third quarter of 2025.

During the third and fourth quarter, CMB.TECH also took delivery of five newbuilding vessels: the newcastlemaxes Mineral Slovensko and Mineral Slovenija, the chemical tanker Bochem Santos, the  CTV Windcat 58 and the CSOV Windcat Rotterdam.

In a charter update, the company said that it has extended the time charter of the 2016-built VLCC Donoussa (299,999-dwt) for another 11 months, until October 2026.

CMB.TECH, listed on Euronext Brussels and the NYSE and on Euronext Oslo Børs, has a fleet portfolio of about 250 vessels: dry bulk vessels, crude oil tankers, chemical tankers, container vessels, offshore wind vessels and port vessels.
