The Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (ESIIC) has set a tender to buy 50,000 metric tons of raw sugar cane with the offer deadline set for Saturday, the company said on Wednesday.
Suppliers can choose one of three delivery periods: December 15-31, between December 15 and January 15 or January 1-15. Offers should be made on a CIF free out basis and the sugar can be sourced from any origin, the company added.
The Egyptian cabinet said in June that it would not need to import sugar until 2026 because it has enough reserves for 13 months.
