Indonesia’s flour mills sign deal with U.S. to buy 1 mln T of wheat per year

Indonesia’s Wheat Flour Mills Association signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with U.S. counterparts on Monday to buy at least 1 million tons of U.S. wheat per year from 2026 to 2030, its chairman said.

Members of the association will also buy around 800,000 tons of U.S. wheat over the rest of 2025, chairman Franciscus Welirang said.

The signing, which also included noodle making giant Indofood INDF, was part of efforts to smoothe tariff negotiations with the United States.
