The Gaslog Glasgow’s scheduled arrival in South Korea on July 20 represents a significantly shorter journey compared to shipments from the US Gulf Coast, highlighting the strategic advantage of Western Canadian exports to growing Asian markets. After several months of pre-feedgas commissioning flows, LNG Canada’s initial export cargo marks a major milestone. With liquefaction now underway, Wood Mackenzie projects a steady ramp-up in exports, reaching over 1 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) later this year and eventually achieving full Phase 1 capacity near 2 bcfd by late 2026.
