Russia’s ESPO Blend oil exports from Kozmino set to drop 2% in Sept, sources say

Russia plans to drop ESPO Blend oil loadings from its Far East Kozmino port in September to 4 million metric tons (some one million barrels per day) from 4.2 million tons in August, two sources familiar with the plan said.

On a daily basis ESPO loadings from Kozmino will drop a bit under 2% in September compared to August, Reuters calculations showed.

Oil exports from Kozmino port have been on the rise since July, keeping steady around one million bpd as the pipeline system and the port’s capacity have been increased, traders said.

ESPO Blend is Russia’s flagship oil grade for Asian markets loading from the Far East. Russia tries to maximize oil loadings for the East as European countries have been banning its energy supplies since 2022.
