Steel Exports Stable, Sheet and Plate Orders Retreat Amid Price Drop

Steel export offers mostly held steady today, with mainstream order shipments concentrated in March-April. Sheet and plate order intake pulled back today, as order intake was overly robust in the previous two weeks, and traders’ willingness to sell weakened after the recent price decline. Some steel mills in north China faced scheduling pressure, with a few product varieties temporarily suspending offers.
