27,000 tonnes of diesel arrive at Ctg Port from Singapore, more to arrive tonight

Another vessel named Shan Gang Fa Xian is scheduled to arrive at night carrying fuel. Another vessel carrying LNG is expected to arrive tomorrow.

A vessel carrying 27,000 tonnes of diesel from Singapore arrived at the outer anchorage of Chattogram port in the early hours of today (3 April).

Confirming the matter, Chattogram Port Authority Member for Harbour and Marine Commodore Ahmed Amin Abdullah told The Business Standard that the vessel named MT Yuan Jing He reached the outer anchorage early in the morning. It will be berthed on a priority basis.

He added that another vessel named Shan Gang Fa Xian is scheduled to arrive at night carrying fuel. Another vessel carrying LNG is expected to arrive tomorrow.

Nazrul Islam, owner of Pride, the shipping agent of the vessels Yuan Jing He and Shan Gang Fa Xian, said the vessel that arrived in the morning brought slightly more than 27,000 tonnes of diesel from Singapore. It is now waiting for berthing at the Dolphin jetty.

He added that another vessel, Shan Gang Fa Xian, is arriving at night from Malaysia carrying 34,000 tonnes of diesel.

Earlier in March, a total of 33 vessels carrying different types of fuel arrived at the port. Among them, 15 vessels carried different types of fuel oil, eight carried LNG, and nine carried LPG.
