
Oil product inventories at Fujairah in the UAE fell 5.8% in the week ended April 6 to 12.555 million barrels, the lowest on record, Fujairah Oil Industry Zone data showed April 8.
The total has dropped for five consecutive weeks, or 40% since March 2. The ongoing Middle East war began just days before, on Feb. 28, and Fujairah has been attacked at least six times since. The inventory data from FOIZ has been compiled by S&P Global Energy since 2017.
Heavy distillates used as ship fuel and for power generation dropped 7.9% in the latest week to 4.909 million barrels, also the fifth consecutive decline, to the lowest since 2018.
Middle distillates, including jet fuel and diesel, slumped 21% to 1.476 million barrels, the lowest since September 2025, and light distillates such as gasoline and naphtha increased 0.9% to 6.170 million barrels, the first gain in five weeks.
