Edda Wind picks new chief executive officer

Offshore wind support vessel pureplay Edda Wind has appointed Stig Morten Helland as its new chief executive officer.

Helland, who takes the Edda Wind CEO seat on September 29, brings with him a wealth of experience from the shipping and offshore industries, having held senior leadership roles at both Teekay Offshore and OSM Thome.

He will assume the CEO position at a pivotal time for Edda Wind, as the company continues to expand its fleet.

The appointment follows a recruitment process, during which Hermann H. Øverlie, CFO of the company, served as the interim CEO while also maintaining his CFO responsibilities.

“The board and owners wish to express our sincere gratitude to Hermann for taking on the dual responsibilities of interim CEO and CFO. Under his leadership and in collaboration with our dedicated team, Edda Wind has demonstrated strong operational performance,” said Geir Flæsen, chair of the board at Edda Wind.
