Danish offshore wind vessel operator Esvagt has bought two service operation vessels (SOVs) from Oslo-listed offshore wind support vessel pureplay Edda Wind.
Esvagt acquired the 2022-built Breeze Enabler and Brint Enabler SOVs through a 100% share purchase agreement with the two Spanish vessel-owning entities.
The vessels are on long-term contracts with Ocean Breeze and Vestas. Contracts for both SOVs have been novated to Esvagt for continued operations, and the crew onboard has been offered employment with the company.
With this acquisition, Esvagt increased its SOV fleet to 12 vessels. Another three new SOVs are under construction for projects in the UK, the Netherlands, and the US, with delivery planned for 2026.
