Macro Offshore has strengthened its foothold in the offshore wind market after securing a long-term accommodation contract with Siemens Energy for upcoming projects in the North Sea.

The deal begins in June 2027 and runs for six years, with Siemens Energy holding options that could extend the work by up to four more. Macro Offshore will commit the accommodation jackup Crossway Eagle to support the campaigns.

The unit is currently preparing for mobilisation to Equinor’s Empire Wind development off New York, making this the second offshore wind assignment the vessel has lined up. It also marks another step in Macro Offshore’s broader push into the wind sector, following a strategic review that identified the market as a long-term and increasingly asset-intensive space as projects move farther offshore and into deeper waters.

Sandnes-based Macro Offshore owns and operates the Crossway Eagle and manages the accommodation unit Haven, which is working on Equinor’s Draupner platform on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
