Perth-based OSV operator MMA Offshore has officially changed its name to Cyan Renewables almost a year after the Singapore-based firm bought it for AUD 1.1bn ($720m).

The rebrand of MMA, which has a fleet of 20 offshore vessels, is aligning the business with Australia’s emerging offshore wind industry and the broader global transition to renewables.

Cyan said that it also opened an office in Melbourne. This will establish a regional presence close to key upcoming offshore wind farm developments in Victoria and New South Wales.

The newly branded Cyan Renewables is uniquely positioned to support the energy transition, including the developing offshore wind industry in Australia, from early-stage surveying and construction support to long-term vessel operations and maintenance.

Australia’s first offshore wind projects will require extensive marine logistics, port services, and specialist vessels, and Cyan Renewables hopes to support all the players in delivering these landmark projects.
