Norwind Offshore clinches CSOV deal with Semco unit

Norwind Offshore has landed a charter agreement with Wind Multiplikator, the German subsidiary of Denmark’s Semco Maritime, for a newly built commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV).

The vessel, Norwind Maestro, will be deployed to support operations at the 400 MW Global Tech I offshore wind farm in the German sector of the North Sea. The CSOV will be delivered in the first quarter of 2026, with a second, identical vessel available from the fourth quarter of 2025 to assist the project as needed.

Both vessels will be based out of Emden, a key hub for offshore wind logistics in northern Germany.

Wind Multiplikator, acquired by Semco in 2023, operates and manages offshore wind assets, and Global Tech I has been in service since 2015. Further commercial and technical details of the charter were not disclosed, but earlier this year, the company said that its contract with Global Tech I would have an initial term of 10 years.
