Britoil inks 6+2 new AHT at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard | Shipyard news

Britoil ATHS newbuildings

The Singapore-based offshore tonnage provider Britoil Offshore Services (Britoil) has announced the launch of a newbuilding program for 6 + 2 anchor handling tug (AHT) vessels.

The ordered AHT vessels will be built at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard in China, who has an expertise in delivering offshore support vessels and tugs, as Britoil informs.

With the signing formalized on May 27, these 45-meter length over all (LOA) and 80T+ bollard pull AHT vessels will be fit for purpose and specifically designed to meet the demanding conditions of offshore work.

As engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC)-focused offshore workhorses, the new AHT vessels will feature enhanced propulsion systems, refined hull designs, and increased fuel-carrying capacities, as Britoil mentions in its statement.
