HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on January 16 that it has recently signed a contract to build one VLGC with a shipping company based in Europe.

The total order amount is 175.8 billion KRW.

The vessel will be built by HD Hyundai Samho and is scheduled to be delivered by the first half of 2028.

Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 5 ships worth 1.16 billion USD to date, achieving 5% of the annual order target of 23.31 billion USD (provisional).

By ship type, the company has received orders for 4 LNG carriers and 1 LPG/ammonia carrier.
