HD Hyundai Signs Contract for Tanker Duo

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on November 17 that it has recently signed a contract to build two PC tankers with a shipping company based in Oceania.

The total order amount is 219.4 billion KRW.

The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Mipo and is scheduled to be delivered consecutively by the first half of 2029.

Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 102 ships worth 13.74 billion USD to date, achieving 76.1% of the annual order target of 18.05 billion USD (provisional).

By ship type, the company has received orders for 5 LNG carrier, 6 LNG bunkering vessels, 9 LPG/ammonia carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 61 container ships, 16 tankers, and 3 product tanker.
