

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on November 14 that it has recently signed a contract to build two tankers with a shipping company based in Oceania.
The total order amount is 256.2 billion KRW.
The vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and is scheduled to be delivered consecutively by the second half of 2028.
Including these orders, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 100 ships worth 13.59 billion USD to date, achieving 75.3% of the annual order target of 18.05 billion USD (provisional).
By ship type, the company has received orders for 5 LNG carrier, 6 LNG bunkering vessels, 9 LPG/ammonia carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 61 container ships, 16 tankers, and 1 product tanker.
