

HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai specializing in shipbuilding, announced on September 15 that it has recently signed a contract to build four containerships with a shipping company based in the British Virgin Islands.
The total order amount is 651.9 billion KRW.
The four vessels will be built by HD Hyundai Samho and are scheduled to be delivered consecutively by the second half of 2028.
Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has received orders for a total of 90 ships worth 12.21 billion USD to date, achieving 67.7% of the annual order target of 18.05 billion USD (provisional).
By ship type, the company has received orders for 5 LNG carriers, 6 LNG bunkering vessels, 8 LPG/ammonia carriers, 2 ethane carriers, 56 container ships, 12 tankers, and 1 product carrier.
