Taihan’s Vietnamese manufacturing subsidiary, Taihan Cable Vina, held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 11 for the new EHV cable plant that will be built on an approximately 56,200 square meter site within the Long Thanh Industrial Zone in Dong Nai Province, where the subsidiary’s existing facility is located.

Thanks to this investment, Taihan Cable Vina will expand its EHV cable production capacity and strengthen its ability to serve both Southeast Asia and global markets, including Europe, the Americas, and Oceania, the company said.

Full-scale operations are expected in 2027.

Kim Joon-seok, Executive Vice President of Taihan Cable, said: “Over the past 20 years, Taihan Cable Vina has served as a key production base driving Taihan Cable’s overseas business growth, built on its accumulated manufacturing experience and strong quality competitiveness. With the construction of this new plant, we aim to contribute to the advancement of Vietnam’s power grid while playing a leading role in the global energy infrastructure market.”

Taihan further noted that it plans to continue expanding facilities and investing in technology to develop Taihan Cable Vina into its second global production base, alongside its Dangjin cable plant in Korea, in order to respond to the growing demand in the global cable market.
