Danish investor Zeaside Capital Partners takes over Alba Tankers | Shipsale news

Denmark’s Zeaside Capital Partners has agreed to take over Alba Tankers in a bid to grow further in the tanker space.

The Copenhagen-based investment firm alongside a group of Danish and international investors has taken over Alba Tankers based out of Denmark, Sweden and Poland.

Since its inception in 2015, Alba has been a tanker operator and owner in the short sea tanker market.

“We are very pleased to become co-owners of the company and grow Alba in the future,” the company said in a short post on LinkedIn.

Zeaside Capital Partners has since summer of 2025 co-invested into four ice classed tankers, and with the addition of Alba tankers and the nine-vessel fleet, and its commercial and technical management, the investor said the move gives a “foundation for growth” in the tanker space.

Alba is an owner and commercial operator of chemical- and oil tankers. The headquarter is located in Denmark, and the chartering and commercial team is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The main focus is below 20,000-dwt, trading petroleum products, chemicals and vegetable oils.

“We see potential for further market consolidation, and our door is open for cooperation,” the statement of the company reads.
